PixPlanet is a high quality image company, established by Dave Lloyd in Bangkok, Thailand in 2003.
PixPlanet was born from a passion for photography and a desire to produce and make available beautiful images for your enjoyment. All our images are produced from the latest, and best quality, archival printing materials. To date, we have supplied thousands of images around the globe.
Our artists are individuals whose life, and livelihood, is photography. They are all driven by a passion for capturing beautiful images and, being able to share their vision with those who desire beautiful works of art which will provide decades of viewing pleasure. All exhibit regularly and have had hundreds of images published.
Dave, the company principal, first enjoyed seeing an image he had taken on a camera at a young age and marvelled at the work of others in this arena. Photographic books and magazines became a staple part of his education process, as did photographing as much as possible.
Photography quickly became an enduring hobby and then a profession in the late 1970's. After a few years, he changed career direction and moved into the electronics and computer world. Photography, reluctantly, took a back seat, however, the passion never died and the hobby lived on.
In 2001, Dave moved to Bangkok and the incredible scenes of Thailand again fired the passion. He began many outings to photograph temples, people and daily life. Acquiring high quality digital and film cameras, and employing high quality long life printing methods, has meant that he can now share his and other photographers excellent imagery, with the satisfaction that the end result will be both pleasing aesthetically and have display longevity.
Dave has assembled a team of equally enthusiastic colleagues to ensure PixPlanet produces first quality images to satisfy the most discerning purchaser. All the photographic images are the work of Dave or artists associated with PixPlanet.
