Someone suggested using Scene Position - Text Mode.

Well, I thought I would give it a try and the next series of images are in Text Mode.

For scene images, it sharpens a little too much, for my taste. However, for macro (or close) images, in good light, it is excellent.
The next series of images is shot in a mixture of modes but all at 12 mp.
